This company focuses on managing residential communities and handles over 85 properties across nine states. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our client’s team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k – $95k plus 10% Bonus
Position Overview:
This Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, data-driven decision-making, and reporting across accounting and real estate functions. The Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes, improve reporting capabilities, and ensure accurate property and project accounting. The role requires expertise in data analysis, budgeting, financial modeling, and the ability to bridge accounting with real estate operations.
Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Create and maintain real-time performance dashboards and reports using Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
- Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models that provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Accounting and Compliance: Prepare, review, and present financial statements, budgets, and cash flow projections. Support general ledger accounting by reviewing and preparing journal entries and reconciliations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Process Improvement and Systems Implementation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies. Participate in the implementation of new financial systems and tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Support: Work closely with General Accounting and Real Estate teams to provide financial insights and recommendations. Communicate analysis results to stakeholders and support ad-hoc analyses and special projects as required.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst:
- Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, OLAP, and advanced Excel functions.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization tools, including Power BI, DAX, OLAP, and SQL.
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and interpret complex data sets.
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders across the organization.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or real estate finance is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in finance, data analytics, or accounting are preferred.
- Experience with the Yardi Voyager ERP system is preferred. Real estate development experience is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field is required.
