Title: Financial Analyst/Associate
Location: Southern, CT. Hybrid Office
Compensation Range: $120k to $160k base, plus discretionary bonus
Our Client is seeking an experienced analyst or associate to report to its Head of Corporate Development. This role provides integral support to the Client’s CEO, President, and CFO. The hired individual will work to understand all facets of the business through budgeting, reporting, and analysis, evolving towards a role where the individual leads strategic and capital-raising initiatives.
Direct Responsibilities:
- Performance Analysis: Analyze and predict payment/loss performance of a $1B lease and loan portfolio, driving key strategic decisions.
- Financial Modeling: Produce and manage financial models for the Client, its portfolio of strategic investments, and prospective strategic investments.
- M&A Support: Provide analytical support for M&A processes.
- Correspondence: Communicate with banks, rating agencies, and investors regarding capital raising or other initiatives.
- Presentation Preparation: Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and external stakeholders (e.g., banks, rating agencies, strategic partners).
- Reporting: Produce and troubleshoot monthly reports for management, the Board of Directors, and lenders.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct analysis to inform all facets of the Client’s strategy and decision-making.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 to 6 years in financial services, preferably at an investment bank or asset manager.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school. A degree in business/finance or a related field is preferred but not required. Must have a strong understanding of financial concepts and be able to perform basic financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and deliver results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time Management: Proven track record of strong time management and ability to multi-task.
