Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Job Description:
Global Communications and Marketing team (GCM) is seeking a Financial Analyst (contracted position). This role will support the communications and marketing team by facilitating streamlined processes and communication of all GCM finance activities. Responsibilities will include budget tracking and reconciliation, PO and invoice management, onboarding vendors and participation in the accrual process. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, inquisitive, has a focus on transparency and strives to improve the status quo. This role will report to the Senior Operations Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Budget tracking, reconciliation and reporting
• Assist with month end AP accruals
• Manage assigned POs and invoice processing
• Maintain and own cost center forecasting
• Troubleshoot and provide recommendations/solutions on Finance related issues
• Maintain and update SOP/QRGs and other training materials as business needs change
• Assist with vendor onboarding and ongoing management
• Liaison between GCM and Procurement to ensure compliance standards are met
• Continuous improvement of processes
• Ad hoc reporting and projects as requested
• Manage Pcard payments
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Month End processes and variance analysis
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
• Analytical mindset with ability to communicate with non-finance partners
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech industry
• Familiarity with corporate contracts and/or Procurement processes
• Ariba, SAP, Power BI experience a plus
• Working-level knowledge of Workfront is a plus
• Experience with Process Improvement/Streamlining processes for cross functional teams
• Ability to transform data into meaningful information and actionable items for key stakeholders
