The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a part time Financial Aid Assistant for a part time, paid internship-this is a unique opportunity for a motivated student to obtain real-world experience in finance and aging services.

Working closely with the Financial Aid/Medicaid Department and the Patient Accounts Team in Finance, the Financial Aid Assistant will provide key support to the finance team while gaining valuable work experience by assisting with reports and special projects, clerical support, and other key tasks related to resident accounts and financial aid assistance in the department.

The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, conveniently located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York, is a world class, non-profit health care facility that offers short term rehabilitation, sub-acute care and nursing facility as well as community-based health care; encompassing adult day health care, home health care, and a hospice program that serves terminally ill patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities, including Parker's nursing facility.

What are we looking for?

• Undergraduate or graduate students looking for hands-on experience working in Finance
• Familiar with using Excel
• Excellent communication skills; able to work with and communicate effectively and pleasantly with team members, residents, family members
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Able to work in person at our facility located in New Hyde Park, NY
