JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting decision-making and overseeing of financial information. The Financial Accountant's responsibilities include producing budgets, overseeing tax payments, maintain financial records, and conducting internal audits.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Excellent oral and written communication skills; be able to organize their work using tools, like MS, Excel, Oracle, and other financial system software. Ensures the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
- Assist with preparing financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheet, and subsidiary statements.
- Review and analyze general ledger account balances and makes recommendations for corrections.
- Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports for management.
- Reconcile records of financial transactions, including bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Enter journal entries to complete month and year-end closings.
- Establish and implement work activities to ensure the timely completion of accounting projects.
- Coordinate and assist Finance Manager with internal and external audits.
- Aid Finance Manager with the budget process.
- Keep up-to-date with financial policies, practices, and regulations.
- Comply with state and federal tax regulations.
- Assist with tax filings and payments in accordance with related laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from the Finance Manager. Position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an office environment. Works standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time while working on a daily basis. Sits, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties. Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the De La Paz Cleaning and Rental Service LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, statistics or a related field is expected.
- At least three years of relevant experience of accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to remain confidential.
- Must pass a federal background check.
- Must be bilingual.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
- Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of financial management
- Knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
Other:
- Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
