What You'll Do
We are seeking an innovative, detail-oriented Payment Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our payment operations function. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth processing of payments, optimizing payment workflows, and enhancing the overall payment experience for users on both sides of our enrichment marketplace. In this job, your primary areas of responsibility will be:
- Provider Payments
- Ensure that payments issued to providers are accurate and paid on time.
- Address payment-specific customer support issues from end to end.
- Partner Invoices
- Ensure that all partners are invoiced in a timely manner and that those invoices are complete.
- Design and evolve processes that handle various payment terms, and invoicing requirements identified by our customers.
- Maintain a healthy A/R days outstanding across all Togetherhood customers.
- Develop safeguards, processes and penalties for late payments.
- Vendor Management
- Evaluate new technologies and providers that will enhance the payments and finance experience at Togetherhood.
- Provide informed recommendations on which providers are best suited to solve different needs for Togetherhood.
- Manage the integration of new payment technologies into the Togetherhood platform, as well as key vendor relationships.
- Platform audits & process improvements
- Design payment-related processes that elevate the Togetherhood customer experience and enable our business to operate more efficiently.
- Partner with our bookkeeping and accounting team to improve revenue and payment related analytics.
- Generate regular reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track payment processing metrics and trends.
- Analyze payment data to identify opportunities for operational improvements and revenue optimization.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, payments operations, or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in managing payment processing, invoicing, and vendor management processes.
- Experience with financial systems, payment platforms, and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), and payment processing platforms (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- An enthusiasm for children's enrichment and education and a genuine interest in contributing to the success of our marketplace.
