About the role
As a Finance Operations Specialist at Kisi, you'll be at the heart of streamlining and elevating our financial processes, empowering the company to operate smarter and achieve greater impact. You'll drive efficiency, champion innovative solutions, and collaborate across teams to ensure our financial workflows are seamless and scalable. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing performance, refining systems, and aligning operations with our business goals.
You'll thrive on diving into complex data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions that deliver measurable results. From uncovering inefficiencies and ensuring compliance to leading process transformations, your expertise will play a vital role in keeping Kisi's financial engine running smoothly.
This is a hybrid position, with at least 2-3 days a week in the office to build connections, tackle challenges collaboratively, and share your ideas with the team.
What you"ll do
- Identify inefficiencies in financial operations and propose process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with IT to implement and upgrade financial systems for better data accuracy and usability.
- Ensure financial operations adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Maintain clear documentation for financial processes, systems, and procedures to support transparency and training efforts.
- Monitor and mitigate risks associated with financial operations, providing proactive solutions to potential challenges.
- Assist with accounts payable tasks, as well as month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate reconciliations and seamless financial reporting. Provide insights and recommendations to streamline these processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and track operational KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of financial processes and initiatives.
- Analyze discrepancies between budgets, forecasts, and actuals, offering actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in financial operations without compromising quality.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for leadership, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.
- Work closely with various teams across the organization, wearing multiple hats to align financial operations with company goals and support seamless collaboration in a dynamic environment.
- Support financial aspects of organizational projects, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and deliverables align with budgets.
- Act as a key liaison between finance and other departments, providing insights and updates on performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in finance operations, financial process management, or a related area.
- Proficiency in financial software, with advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems or financial automation tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Clear and concise communication skills, capable of presenting financial concepts to a non-financial audience.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence.
- Previous experience in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up or scale-up organization is highly desirable.
