Key Responsibilities
Giving Management
Oversee and maintain the online giving platform to ensure all donations are processed accurately and securely.
Coordinate the counting and secure deposit of cash and checks in collaboration with the counting team volunteers.
Prepare and distribute donor statements, maintaining accurate records and responding to donor inquiries promptly.
Generate tithes and attendance reports and distribute them to relevant stakeholders.
Payroll and Timesheet Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure timely approval of employee timesheets by supervisors to meet payroll deadlines.
Process payroll with precision and efficiency, adhering to organizational policies and compliance standards.
Manage and execute 403(b) deposits in Empower, ensuring contributions are accurate and processed on time.
Review and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly to maintain accuracy and employee trust.
Volunteer Coordination and Team Management
Manage and schedule counting team volunteers for donation reconciliation.
Facilitate monthly team meetings with the Bridgeway accounting team
Participate in 1:1 meetings with supervisors, represent the Finance Office in project discussions, and actively engage in employee meetings.
Financial Reporting and Compliance
Review credit card expense reports, ensuring all line items are accurate and complete.
Maintain and review contracts for expiration and compliance.
Communication and Training
Equip employees with the skills to utilize financial systems effectively.
Compose finance-related messages for inclusion in internal communications such as the church newsflash.
Systems Oversight and Document Management
Upload month-end documents and email budgets to budget managers.
Launch new financial systems and processes, ensuring employee adoption.
Collaboration and Project Management
Partner with the Benevolence Team to ensure timely disbursements.
Represent the finance team and share updates at monthly employee meetings.
Lead projects aimed at improving financial operations and participation tracking.
Review ACH transactions and processes in Bill.com.
Preferred Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance
Church or nonprofit financial management experience.
Skills and Competencies
Compose and deliver verbal and written messages that can be easily understood and followed by the employee team members.
Effectively use financial software and reporting tools to accurately execute key responsibilities.
Effectively train and guide employees to implement financial processes with fidelity.
Must be able to effectively operate technical office equipment, including but not limited to computers, telephone systems, computers, and printer/copiers

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment.
Hybrid work environment as deemed appropriate by supervisor and approved by COO. This role has certain tasks that must be completed in the office.
Travel is primarily local during the business day; however, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required. Bridgeway operates out of two locations.

The position also lends itself to occasionally lifting up to 20lbs of office products and supplies.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
The current work week is Monday through Thursday; Sundays
Expected work hours may fall outside of standard business hours as requested and/or approved by the CEO, COO, CFO, including holidays.
