Finance Manager/ Plant Controller
Location: Cassopolis, MI
Duration: Full Time

Required Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• MPA, CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Willingness to strive to achieve companywide best practices.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
• Strong analytical skills.
• Application of software systems and tools: SAP, SAP Fiori, Power BI, Oracle HFM, MS Office applications especially Excel and Outlook, Kronos, ADP, and APICS bill of materials management system (Hydro internally developed).
Job Responsibilities:
• Business Plan and KPI development, measurement, and reporting.
• Monitors and manages margins, both short-term and strategically
• Month-End close activities including P&L prep, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and monthly analysis and reporting of results and KPIs.
• Routine review of raw materials usage and inventory including various aspects of yield and BOM.
• Acts as local property tax expert in filing annual renditions and seeking tax relief opportunities as they are made available.
• Conducts, supports, and/or oversees various inventory counts on a routine (weekly/monthly/annual) basis including raw materials, finished goods, supplies, R&M parts, fixed assets, etc.
• Serves as location energy procurement expert for natural gas, electric, water, argon, and oxygen – reporting routinely on usage and price variances.
• Oversees local payroll process for both hourly and salaried personnel.
• Facilitates CAPEX plans including project justification development, routine status reporting, and all associated financial postings.
• Supports company management with data for insurance policies, audits, et al.
• Ad hoc research and reporting as needed to support managerial decision making – whether solicited or not.
• Ensures compliance with company and local regulatory policies.
