About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a leading power generation company based in Queens, NYC. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for managing the month-end close process, preparing financial reporting packages, quarterly and annual financial statements, overseeing treasury operations, managing tax filings, assisting with budget preparation, coordinating audits, and handling ad-hoc reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end close process.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Oversee treasury operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and file monthly sales & use tax returns, as well as quarterly excise tax returns.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.
- Manage the annual audit process with third-party auditors.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual tax filings with third-party tax preparers.
- Assist with miscellaneous filings and ad-hoc reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's degree preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
- A self-motivator and leader with intellectual curiosity, eager to learn and grow independently.
