Job Summary:
Emigrant Partners is looking for a Finance Manager/VP Finance to support all finance activities working closely with and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:
- Review, reconcile, and analyze each partner firm's financial statements and other submitted information to ensure complete and accurate reporting
- Understand the functionality of EP's reporting system (Dynamo), assist with implementation and gradually assume primary responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and oversight
- Review with the CFO monthly P&L for EP and its affiliate provided by the bank's finance department, and work to clarify or correct individual items as needed
- Work with partner firms to review and approve annual budgets, conduct mid-year budget reviews; compile mid-year and annual budget presentations of EP's consolidated business financials and performance
- Monitor and report quarterly on partner firm covenant compliance
- Prepare quarterly and annual credit reviews
- Work with internal audit team and outside audit professionals
- Prepare select quarterly valuations of EP's credit positions
- Prepare quarterly portfolio performance reviews
- Support M&A integration processes at partner firms as needed
- Recommend and drive continuous improvement in finance operations, implement new processes
- Improve and maintain internal controls; document and recommend improvements to internal financial policies and procedures
- Ad-hoc requests and special projects, such as system upgrades/implementation, workflow automation, account trend and vendor cost analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of experience in Corporate Accounting or Finance with progressive professional development
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant field
- Public accounting background preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting policies and compliance
- Experience in Professional Services, Financial Services, Wealth Management or Asset Management preferred; credit experience and bank regulatory knowledge a plus
- Aptitude and experience using MS Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ability to create, update and interpret excel models is a requirement
