Job Details
Your responsibilities
Manage financial health and oversee financial procedures of the company. With a specific focus on accounting/bookkeeping services, accounts payable and receivable, bank account management, payroll processing, and sales tax returns. Act as the key finance liaison between the company and global headquarters, external accounting firms, suppliers, and internal teams. Serve as the expert in SAGE 300 and oversee all things finance with the support of the General Manager CFO.
Your tasks
Handle:
Comprehensive accounting/bookkeeping service in multiple currencies.
Responsible for all incoming invoices, expense reports, and payments (A/P). Oversee payment entries, adjustments of customer invoices, and processing bad debt accounts (A/R).
Solely manage bank accounts, cash flow, reconciliations, and payments across platforms in multiple currencies, and monitor exchange rates.
Process credit card entries, payroll, and taxes with the support of an external Accounting Firm.
Manage payroll services. Manage fees between the USA and Canadian entities.
Oversee payouts, prepare quarterly and annual sales tax returns, and manage estimated tax payments.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements. Calculate the commission of sales agents.
Participate in budget development, and maintain quarterly and yearly forecast/budget reports. Participate in annual audits.
Prepare and distribute quarterly financial reports.
Specific skills and qualifications
Multitasking ability, professional and friendly demeanor, organized, goal-oriented, data entry/analysis/automation skills, customer focus, willingness to learn. Must be a self-motivated individual with financial forecasting abilities, and a firm understanding of financial regulations. Expected to become a key asset in our team.
Your education
A four-year degree in finance/accounting or equivalent is recommended.
5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
Your specific skills
IT – MS Office Suite, ERP (SAGE 300), PowerBI, Dialpad, Notion.
Ease in communication (oral and written). Spanish and/or French as a second language would be an asset.
Ability to understand asset/financial movements within companies and understand both USA and Canada tax policy.
