To support our growth in veterinary care, we’re hiring for a dynamic Finance Manager, leading our managing clinical director, hospital ownership, and field finance programs. This role is dedicated to the Lovet & AZPetVet brand.
The role is both high-visibility and high-impact. The ideal candidate excels in developing relationships, building financial models, and identifying insights that translate into action. This individual will be excited about shaping the future of the Lovet veterinary business, as well as the managing clinical director, hospital ownership, and field finance programs.
Position Overview
We are excited for this individual to join one of the largest and most rapidly growing healthcare service organizations in the country. This individual will be a key addition to the growing Lovet & AZPetVet Finance team, while joining a network of other finance brand teams at TAG to share best practices and tools. This role will partner closely with our Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVMs), helping to improve the performance of animal hospitals.
Responsibilities – Managing Clinical Director (MCD) Program
- Partner with Managing Clinical Director (MCD) DVMs to enhance hospital performance, enabling us to serve more pets and pet parents with greater access to care
- Prepare monthly financial reports and generate targeted insights for specific animal hospitals
- Meet monthly with MCDs to share financials, ideas, and best practices
- Own the financial modeling and proactively identify insights to improve MCD program economics
- Utilize reporting tools (such as Tableau and Workday) to create ad hoc reports and analyses
Responsibilities – Hospital Ownership Program (HOP)
- Support the development and rollout of the Hospital Ownership Program (HOP), a best-in-class, differentiated program in our veterinary industry
- Own the financial modeling and proactively identify insights to improve program economics
- Partner with executive leadership, business development, MCDs, and local hospitals with guidance on financial analyses
- Create monthly forecast updates on the HOP program to provide visibility on trends and assumptions
- Support the long-term strategic and financial planning process for the HOP
Responsibilities – Field Finance
- Partner with field operations teams to provide reporting, metrics, and influence performance
- Lead performance meetings for finance by sharing insights and targeted next steps for improvement opportunities
- Up-level existing financial reporting as the business scales
- Support local hospitals with pro-forma analyses and P&Ls
Minimum Education and Experience
- BS in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant degree with equivalent work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
- 3-10 years of experience in finance (FP&A preferred)
- Proven track record of partnering with field and operations teams
- Excellent ability to build relationships and obtain buy-in from others
- Strong history of partnering with executive and senior leaders
- Ability to manage programs involving diverse stakeholders, taking into account unique perspectives to form recommendations
- Proficient in creating financial models, both from scratch and building upon existing models
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and storytelling through PowerPoint
- Ability to find and pull appropriate data, along with validating and reviewing data and reports for accuracy and completion
- Ability to excel in fast paced environment, take initiative, and handle multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare and / or multi-unit retail environment is desirable
- Advanced degree (including MBA) a plus
- Relevant certifications or licensures (e.g. CPA or PMP) a plus
- Experience with Tableau and/or SQL a plus
- Enjoys building solutions and isn’t afraid to question the existing way of doing things

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 + bonus opportunity.
