Finance Manager
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL (On-site, Monday-Friday)
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager with 5-10 years of expertise in accounting and financial operations. The role requires a deep understanding of GAAP standards and hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite and Advanced Excel. As a key contributor to renewable and conventional power generation projects, you will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and operational coordination. This position is on-site and offers a chance to work closely with senior management and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure compliance with credit agreements, depositary agreements, and other project-related contracts.
- Organize monthly management meetings and act as the liaison with international equity partners.
- Prepare and present budgets and ad hoc accounting reports to senior management.
- Generate GAAP financial statements for operational entities and maintain partner capital accounts.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to produce audited financial statements and tax returns.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including withdrawal certificates and invoice payments.
- Monitor bank accounts across multiple financial institutions and manage treasury functions.
- Consolidate subsidiaries cash forecasts, process intercompany transfers, and manage revolver credit lines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience Level: 5-10 years in accounting or finance (CPA preferred).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
- Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and Advanced Excel, including financial modeling.
- Familiarity with hedge accounting and variance/trend analysis for actual, budget, and historical results.
- Exceptional coordination, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of responsibility, dependability, and work ethic.
- Industry Experience: Preferred in energy, construction, or real estate sectors.
Preferred Skills:
- CPA certification.
- Knowledge of IFRS and hedge accounting.
- Background in renewable or conventional energy projects.
