Finance & Lending Associate Attorney
Location: Houston, TX
Our client, a highly-respected AmLaw 200 national law firm, is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Associate Attorney to join their Finance and Lending Practice Group in Houston.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in Texas.
- 2–4 years of substantive experience in finance, lending, and commercial real estate law.
- Experience representing lenders in the planning, negotiation, documentation, and workout of various loans, including syndicated credit facilities, participated credits, equipment loans, working capital loans, asset-based loans, loan sale transactions, and dealing with distressed real estate.
- Experience in commercial real estate transactions, particularly with financing for multifamily, office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use projects, as well as distressed real estate.
- Some formal education or background in Finance and/or Secured Transactions is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and a connection to the Houston community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent lenders in connection with the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of a variety of loan types, including syndicated loans, asset-based loans, and working capital loans.
- Advise clients on real estate finance transactions, including the financing of acquisition, development, and construction of diverse commercial and residential properties.
- Work closely with senior attorneys to support the growth and success of client transactions, providing comprehensive legal guidance on complex matters.
