TERM: Summer 2024
HOURS: 24 hours per week (In-Office)

The Finance intern will work closely with the financial planning and analysis team, gaining hands-on experience in seasonal and fiscal year financial planning, budget creation, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. This intern will have the opportunity to develop advanced Excel skills; gain experience with financial management software; attend budget planning meetings; review financial reports; and observe the relationship between general accounting and financial planning.

Hourly Rate: $15.80 + Weekly $30 Travel Stipend

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with financial modeling.
- Provide general accounting support.
- Provide support for the annual budgeting process.
- Assist with statistical analysis and other special projects.
- Present data-driven recommendations to the finance team.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial analysis packets for management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Strong preference for candidates pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related major.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated with a desire to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard mouse and to handle other office equipment.
- Fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- Preferred In-Office Schedule: Three days per week.
