Note: This is a Full-Time position but we would consider the possibility of part-time. This is also an onsite position located in Austin, TX.
Position Summary:
The Finance & Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing and running payroll, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's overall financial health by reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting. As an HR Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting the overall well-being of our workforce by handling general employee inquiries and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization
- Process payroll through our timekeeping system, Paycom
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Prepare organizational budgets
- Perform general ledger accounting and journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records
- Assist in general HR duties, such as employee inquiries
- Attend staff meetings
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Must have experience/knowledge in the following:
- Small to Medium-sized business taxes and financial compliance
- Payroll processing and distribution
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Benefits and ACA Compliance
- Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Invoicing
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- General ledger and chart of accounts
- General HR knowledge (employment law, employee benefits, inquiries)
- Ability to utilize HR support organizations like SHRM
- Must have flexibility with scheduling
- Experience in managing multiple projects
