Position Summary:
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and improving financial operations, reporting, and grant management processes. This individual will partner closely with the Director of Accounting to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local government requirements. While this position does not have direct management responsibilities, the Finance Manager will oversee the work of the Finance Coordinator to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Analyze financial statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Oversee and process finance-related work, including grant management.
- Assist with the conversion of financial data into actionable insights and reports.
- Grant Management:
- Manage federal, state, and local government grants, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare and review financial reporting related to grants.
- Collaboration & Oversight:
- Work closely with the Finance Coordinator, providing guidance and ensuring financial operations are executed effectively.
- Collaborate with the Director of Accounting and other stakeholders on financial strategies and initiatives.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial management, with a focus on nonprofit finance.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local government grants and reporting requirements.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and implement efficient financial processes.
- Familiarity with grant management and compliance practices.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn financial conversion processes (training provided).
