Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

We are looking for a Finance Director to join our team! This hire will spearhead the administration of all financial and information technology systems, a task that requires not only a profound understanding of fiscal management but also the flexibility and vision to adapt to dynamic environments. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of critical functions, including the maintenance of fiscal records, budget preparation, the timely delivery of financial reports, and fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders like the Treasurer for developing robust accounting strategies. Furthermore, your role extends to ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising team members, and managing employee benefits, all while ensuring the ongoing maintenance and updating of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversees and directs the funds, financial records and reports, accounting, budgets, annual audit, tax return filings, purchasing, capital asset management, donation processing and risk management activities for the organization.
2. Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organization's objectives.
3. Managing and applying for grants and government funding, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
4. Conducting and managing regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
5. Using your expertise in fund accounting to manage and allocate resources effectively.
6. Developing and managing budgets, providing regular financial reports to the board and stakeholders.
7. Managing financial systems and software, with proficiency in Netsuite.
8. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
9. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
10. Advising from a financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in a similar role within the finance industry, preferably within a non-profit organization.
2. Proven experience in managing grants, government funding, fund accounting, auditing, and budgeting.
3. Proficiency in Netsuite or similar financial software.
4. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
5. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
6. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
