We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead financial operations for a company managing a high-profile $250 million contract in the Gulf of Mexico. The role requires a seasoned professional to serve as the company's figurehead CFO while collaborating closely with the CFO and accounting team of a partner organization. This individual will oversee substantial cash flow, ensure financial compliance, and align internal financial systems with those of the partner company.
*Finance Director Responsibilities*
* Act as the primary financial authority, representing the company in internal and external discussions regarding financial strategy and planning.
* Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and processes in alignment with partner company standards.
* Monitor and manage cash flow involving millions of dollars in monthly transactions.
* Ensure financial stability and efficiency for the duration of a significant three-year contract.
* Work closely with the CFO and accounting staff of the partner company to ensure a seamless financial operations framework.
* Integrate financial systems and reporting tools in collaboration with partner organizations.
* Oversee all tax liabilities associated with offshore equipment in Louisiana and Texas.
* Maintain compliance with federal and state financial regulations, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting.
* Generate financial reports and insights to support decision-making for executives and stakeholders.
* Lead financial discussions and represent the company in interactions with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and partner organizations.
* Utilize the accounting resources of the partner company to support day-to-day financial operations.
* Create, manage, and monitor budgets to support strategic goals.
* Provide financial forecasts and scenario analyses to guide operational and investment decisions. -
*Finance Director Position Requirements - -*
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (MBA or CPA preferred).
* Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within the offshore, energy, or construction sectors.
* Proven expertise in cash flow management for high-value, long-term contracts.
* Comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations specific to Louisiana and Texas, particularly for offshore equipment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex financial systems.
* Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and partner organizations.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools; familiarity with commonly used systems in the offshore or energy sectors is a plus.
