SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Finance Business Analystto join our Finance and Accounting team. This full-time role will primarily workremotely (days).
Purpose of this position: The Finance Business Analyst will be a part of a dynamic team that collaborates with finance, operational leadership, and IT to develop and support the technical components of the Hennepin Health’s Financial Management Reporting System. This role will leverage our systems to drive improvements in our data and analytical delivery.
Serves as a bridge between the operational owners, and the finance team, participating in design, implementation, and testing to ensure business needs are met for financial processes.This includes the configuration and support of reporting for Budget, dashboards, management reporting, productivity reporting for both hospital and provider team members, operating statistics and metrics that inform key business drivers as well as cost metrics that can be used for tracking margin improvement projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Matches the operational needs of the business area to the functional capabilities of the financial performance management system. Serves as a liaison between operational function, finance, and IS&T teams in identifying/resolving issues and implementing best practice workflows. Anticipates the impact of operational and technology changes to information delivery mechanisms
- Assists with system workflow development, training coordination, conversion activities and necessary documentation. Provides assistance in determining appropriate and most efficient software utilization and/or workflow design, including training of end users
- Supports and manages data integrity, accuracy, and technical requirements of the financial performance management system
- Manages data integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting system (Strata Jazz/EPSi) modules and databases Stays current on system functionality and enhancements to support the finance performance management systems
- Assists in creating and adhering to finance data governing policies
- Collaborates with other key stakeholders in the organization, in particular, the Analytical Center of Excellence and Accounting, to ensure alignment in the strategic data needs of the organization. This includes partnering on the data request and review process and continued improvement in the way we use, report, and analyze information (this includes, but it not limited to, dashboards and metrics)
- Stays current on system functionality and enhancements to support the finance performance management system. Researches upgrades to understand impact to current workflow; provides gap analysis and makes recommendations to support business needs
- Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- 3 years of relevant industry experience with at least 3 years on the technical side in developing reports for informed business decisions

- An approved equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous healthcare experience and demonstrated knowledge of healthcare
- Epic Experience and knowledge
- Peoplesoft and Decision Support (EPSi, Strata Jazz etc), experience preferred
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of Excel, and experience in Word, Access (relational databases), PowerPoint, General Ledger systems, and other reporting and dashboard tools
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently
- Demonstrates expert knowledge in working with integration and interfaces to other systems
- Demonstrates proficiency to maintain expert knowledge on the system through vendor support and training
