Starting Salary is $40,000- $45,000 annually. Because work-life-balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week! Salary offered is dependent on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - This is a "Hybrid" position, which means selected candidates will be assigned to a facility and will spend some time working both in office (1-3 times per week) and from their home. Selected candidates will be expected to report to the office once a week.

Responsibilities
This entry level role is for a Finance Assistant in the Financial Operations department on the Resource Team. The Financial Shared Services - Resource Team supports significantly varied work products as trusted service providers. Our business partners across Financial Operations and the Enterprise include Tax and Compliance, Life Policyholder Tax, Investment Accounting, Ledger Analysis and Closing, Production and Statistical Reporting, Financial Statements and Regulatory Reporting, Planning and Analysis, and P&C Analytics. Standard hours of operation start at either 7am or 8am and end at 3:15pm or 4:15pm depending on business needs. Overtime may be required during peak seasons. For this posting, the primary area of focus is within our Investment Accounting - Stocks and Bonds area; however, assignments can span the various areas supported by the Resource Team. You will work in collaboration with analyst owners to complete daily, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc tasks that support Financial Operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to execute time-sensitive tasks daily while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, always ensuring remarkable interactions
- Ability to quickly learn new applications and processes
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Accounting knowledge or experience
- Strong organizational skills
