About the Job
This part-time role reports into the Chief Services Officer supporting various financial and administrative tasks, including assisting with the annual and monthly close processes, transitioning accounting software systems, and ad hoc financial reporting. The position is based in Manhattan, NY, with the possibility of occasional remote work. It requires a 20-hour weekly commitment, offering flexibility in scheduling to be determined during onboarding.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain thorough records of all invoices, payment receipts, checks, bills, vendor files, and wholesale account documentation.
- Support the data transfer from Sage accounting systems to QuickBooks Online and assist in the implementation of QuickBooks.
- Contribute to financial reporting, including, but not limited to, cash flow projections, budget actualization, accounts payable aging reports, and financial modeling.
- Assist with reconciling financial data during the annual accounting close process.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong ability to multitask
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or Sage is a plus.
