Accounting & Finance Associate - (ESG) – Boston, MA
We are currently seeking candidates for an Accounting and Finance Associate position located in Boston, MA 02111. The position is with a rapidly growing PE firm with a focus on ESG. The Finance and Accounting Associate will report to the Director of Finance be responsible for; managing and maintaining accurate financial records, processing AP/AR, running payroll, banks recs, and assisting with financial reporting. The position reports to the Director of Finance. Qualified candidates that are interested must have a demonstrated interest in ESG and 1+ years of accounting experience. This role offers significant REMOTE flexibility.
This is a full-time permanent position that will pay $75-85K (depending on experience) plus bonus (based on fund performance).

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software using QuickBooks
- Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial aspects of the firm
- Analyze budget variances and provide insights on financial trends
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assisting in the preparation of regular financial reports for management
- Assist with month-end close and audit preparation
- Assist operations team with fund accounting and investment performance
- Process payroll utilizing ADP
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related (required)
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience (including internships/co-ops)
- Demonstrated interested in ESG
- Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks online, ADP, and Bill.com)
- Proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and attention to detail skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
