This position offers a competitive salary. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A FILE/MAIL CLERK
- As a File/Mail Clerk you will spend your time independently processing documents, including incoming mail and subpoenaed records. You will scan, save, and email documents. You will process invoices, prepare outgoing mail and take it to the postal facility daily, prepare and distribute daily docket reports, create and organize files, file documents into physical files, and order supplies for the office. You will organize the incoming documents and file materials according to an efficient electronic filing system and digitalize all necessary documents. You will possess excellent computers skills and be detail-oriented, organizing and distributing documents and making them easily accessible to colleagues. You will also provide excellent customer service to the attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A FILE/MAIL CLERK
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of filing systems
- Must have strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office and office equipment such as a photocopier, scanner, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational skills
Despite a fast pace and short timeframes, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple-large-volume tasks. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve processes and documentation to minimize errors.
