Summary: A Telecommunication Field Technician is a professional who installs, maintains, and repairs telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, including telephone systems, internet networks, and other communication systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Your role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the networks that enable communication services. Here are some key aspects of your job:
- Installing and configuring telecommunications equipments including routers, switches, and other networking devices.
- Maintaining and repairing telecommunications infrastructure including telephone lines, internet cables, and other communication systems.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment and system issues such as network outages or equipment malfunctions.
- Conducting site surveys to determine the best locations for telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
- Documenting work including installation, maintenance, and repair activities, and report your findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and other technicians, to ensure the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or an associate degree or certification in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field.
- Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, including routers, switches, and other networking devices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
