Position: Project Manager – Environmental Waste Minimization, Inc.
Primary Duties & Expectations:
Work in EWMI’s Field Services division supervising a team of field technicians and equipment operators. Oversee all day-to-day project work activities. Ability to develop and manage schedules, track costs, interpret contracts, read blueprints, complete submittals and have working knowledge of project related tasks. Project assignments include management of complex and technical remediation and environmental cleanup projects including demolition and working with hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, confined space environments, industrial services and other site construction work. A “Hands On” approach is required. Administrate all required paperwork. Understand and practice basic business fundamentals and principles. Responsibilities include interact with clients and environmental engineers, along with management of vendors and subcontractors. Duties also include attending pre-bid project site walks, estimating, training and mentoring personnel and successful performance and completion of any company related tasks. Support of Rapid Response, Inc. by responding and assisting in emergency spill clean ups. Possess knowledge of drum and container management and OSHA, DOT and EPA/RCRA regulations. Candidate must have excellent computer skills and strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Understand, practice and enforce company policies and procedures. Attend and successfully complete related training and education seminars/classes. Must be a strong leader and have the ability to be a problem solver. Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills. This position requires overnight travel. At all times represent EWMI/RRI in a professional manner. A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player is essential. All duties performed are to be conducted with safety as the top priority.
Compensation package:
Wage: Hourly - based on experience
Sundays: 2 x hourly rate; Holidays: 2.5 x hourly rate
All related business expenses (Tolls, mileage, etc.)
Per Diem: $50/night for overnight travel……$75.00/night for COVID impacted activities.
Safety Gear: Safety shoes, Safety glasses, all necessary Safety Equipment and Apparel
Company apparel (uniforms, shirts, jackets, etc.)
Paid Holidays – 9 days
