Job Description
Must Must-Have
3 years of warehouse experience
-Microsoft Office/Suites skills
Role: The Field Technician will be required to drive to locations within a reasonable distance of their home location for the purpose of collecting decommissioned telecommunication hardware, ensuring they are identified with maximum accuracy and efficiency. Once identified, they will package and label the parts and organize them on a pallet to then be handed off to the courier. They will be assisted by a lead through DM's and video calls. Moderate travel will be required. Typically, Monday-Friday.
Duties & Responsibilities
Material Handler Duties:
• Meet with the Project Lead(s) for planning on a weekly basis
• Excellent communication on a daily/hourly basis
• Accurately identity parts with the right part and serial number
• Ensure all parts are packaged appropriately and labelled accurately
• Ensure to note any damaged parts
• Assist with ensuring the integrity of system and physical inventory
• Adhere to Decom Project processes and procedures
• Attend all team meetings as required
• Adhere to all aspects of health and safety in the Colo or any other space they are working in including safe handling of ESD components
• Management reserves the right to add or delete duties as deemed appropriate
• Additional projects/tasks assigned by the Customer and approved by Project Lead(s) and/or Program Manager(s)
• Direct point of contact with the customer
• Keeping the customer and other stakeholders on the project satisfied and impressed with the operations performance providing them with the highest quality of service
• Assist with or drive product refurbishment activities as called upon
• Assist with product configuration/refurbishment documentation
Reporting Lines
The Material Handler reports to the Sr Program Manager
Qualifications
Higher level qualification (preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics)
Experience
Computer literate, intermediate level Word/Excel/Mail (Google docs a bonus)
Experience in or strong practical knowledge of electronics/telecommunication hardware
Experience of inventory control and management systems
Working without direct supervision
Experience working in a fast-paced, volatile environment
Experience handling and resolving customer queries
Warehouse experience with material handling and inventory control is a plus
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Excellent personal organization and business administration skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy
Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales.
Other
Ability to work evening and weekend hours during peak periods
Ability to travel abroad, offsite meetings, company related functions, etc. with short notice.
Valid driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage required
