About the Job
Great Lakes Roofing Corporation's Milwaukee Crew has room for another Field Technician. You will create roofing solutions for current and new customers as part of a dedicated sales team.
NOTE: This position is based at our Milwaukee branch and travels to customers within a designated territory.
On any given day, you could find yourself on rooftops completing the "take-off" process, following up on previous roof visits (via email, phone or in-person), and presenting roofing project proposals to building owners and decision makers. Your in-office, lead generation partner keeps you focused on the assessment and sales portion, but growth comes to those who also develop their own opportunities.
We offer Weekly Base Salary Uncapped Commission Benefits Bonuses Vehicle Phone/iPad/Computer to our Field Technician - Commercial Roofing Sales professional.
Salary starts around $60,000/year; high achievers have unlimited earning potential. Our reps make $100,000 a year, and so can you - work hard & create solutions for customers.
Responsibilities of Field Technician - Commercial Roofing Sales:
- Rooftop Assessments - to identify problem areas and solutions, measure and map-out the rooftop for our in-house estimator.
- Client support and networking – Communicate with customers and prospects via phone, email, and in-person. Create value propositions to alleviate customer pain points.
- Proposal Presentation and negotiation of sales contracts
- Follow Up - Respond to and fix issues that arise in collaboration with the project manager - this could be during the sales cycle, the project, or afterward. Be in touch.
- Reporting – Maintain daily reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business and any other issues within our CRM. Provide periodic territory sales forecasts as requested.
Requirements of Field Technician - Commercial Roofing Sales:
- Five years of face-to-face sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proven organizational skills and demonstrable attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Driven, competitive nature able to excel in a self-paced environment
Physical Requirements of Field Technician - Commercial Roofing Sales:
- Overhead lifting of 50lbs several times a day
- Ability to lift, carry & set up 3-story ladder several times a day
- Climb ladder carrying 30-40lbs of gear to rooftop
- Be comfortable outside in all types of weather while on rooftops
- Physically handle roofing materials
- Take & record accurate measurements - read tape measure
- Correctly map out (draw) rooftop data
- Visually notate & accurately record roof problems
