Duties, Responsibilities & Other:- Installing cabling Inside Plant and Outside Plant; pulling wire in conduit, placing cable in ceiling and floor system zones, terminating cable both copper and fiber optic. Installing cable tray, communications racks and grounding systems. Lacing cables and knowledge of industry standards.
- Telecommunications experience required.
- Communicate job tasks and mentor lower level installers
- Low voltage cable pulling and labeling experience.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds continuously.
- Must be able to work on a ladder all day.
- Must be able to take direction and have the desire to lead communications jobs.
- Must be able to complete required job tasks as well as customer paperwork.
- Knowledge of tool use and experience using hand tools as well as telecommunications specific tools.
- Mechanical aptitude is required.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation is required.
- Shifts and/or overtime may be required.
- Some travel maybe required
- A current Driver’s License and able to be approved to drive a company vehicle
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience.
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
