Role-Field support Engineer
Location- COLUMBUS, OHIO

Role Description:
- Adhere to data center safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to access control policies, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Follows policies, practices, procedures, standards, and company rules relative to assignments; complies with regulations and procedures required by external agencies.
- Frequent travel to different locations to install/uninstall network devices and troubleshooting network issues.
- Co-ordination with data center cable management team to resolve any connectivity issues.
- Installation and uninstallation of network router firewalls and providing console access to remote network engineer for the configuration.
- Experience in cabling network devices, powering up the devices
- Need to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed and need to travel frequently to different locations to support data center operations and installation and uninstallation of network equipment in different branch locations.
- Provide remote hands support to customers or remote technical teams, performing tasks such as server reboots, cable swaps, and hardware installation and uninstallation based on predefined procedures and instructions.
- Manage power distribution units (PDUs), power cables, and environmental monitoring devices to ensure proper power and cooling within the data center.
- Rack and stack equipment according to data center standards, ensuring proper cable management and airflow to maintain optimal operating conditions.
- Providing on-site support for client networks.
- Testing, documenting, setting up, and installing network hardware.
- Managing technical functions, testing equipment, handling repairs, and conducting site inspections.
- Data deletion and sanitization and e-recycling of network devices.
Essential Skills:
- Providing on-site support for client networks.
- Possessing knowledge of network hardware, networking, software, and configuration.
- Testing, documenting, setting up, and installing network hardware.
- Managing technical functions, testing equipment, handling repairs, and conducting site inspections.
- Rack and stack equipment according to data center standards, ensuring proper cable management and airflow to maintain optimal operating conditions.
- Manage power distribution units (PDUs), power cables, and environmental monitoring devices to ensure proper power and cooling within the data center.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed and need to travel frequently to different locations to support data center operations and installation and uninstallation of network equipment in different branch locations.
- Understanding of network device console access process.
- Understanding of data deletion and sanitization and e-recycling of network devices.
Desirable Skills:
Good to have graduation and certification in data center touch support area
