JOB LOCATION: Orem, Utah
FUNCTION: The Construction Field Supervisor is responsible for construction oversight, scheduling and quality assurance forfield construction work on land development projects.
REPORTING TO: Area Manager, Construction
The Clyde Companies have been around for almost 100 years. Starting off as WW Clyde, the small family run business, has now turned into eight separate subsidiaries collaborating on thousands of projects each year. The enterprise is comprised of companies that span from administrative services to insurance and from building materials to construction. Clyde Companies, Inc is the administrative services group that supports the other seven subsidiaries, including GWC Capital. GWC Capital is an asset management company that specializes in land development, and we are looking for a Field Supervisor who wants to make an impact.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive management of fieldconstruction work for land development projects including earthwork, utilities, roadways, landscaping and amenities resulting in:
- On-time Delivery
- Costs at or under Budget
- High Quality
- Exceptional Relationships and Reputation
- Oversee pre-construction and weekly construction meetings
- Coordinate the acceptance of improvements from municipalities and agencies
- Thoroughly understand plans and specifications and manage field construction contract changes
- Arrange for the proper sequencing of work to minimize overall durations, rework and conflicts
- Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, agencies and trade partners
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 10years work experience in a related field including construction supervision experience.
- Self-starter and results oriented
- Communicate effectively verbally and in written form to a variety of audiences
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong understanding of the land development and civil construction process
- Strengths in forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and planning
- Ability to work independently, proactively manage field work on projects and prevent problems.
- Tactful, professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with managers, associates, vendors and others.
- Ability to perform complex tasks, handle multiple priorities, and perform under changing conditions and challenging deadlines.
