Field Superintendent/Coordinator
The Field Superintendent/Coordinator takes the lead on overseeing construction projects, holding daily meetings with field teams, reminding them of safety protocols and resolving problems and conflicts that may arise. Coordinate with various individuals to ensure progress is happening on schedule resulting in projects being completed on time, on budget and meeting client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate field activities with Project Manager to ensure budget and schedule are met
- Schedule field activities to ensure projects stay within budget for equipment and labor
- Create daily/weekly installation schedules to meet project schedule requirements
- Verify field measurements for fabrication and resolve special details and job site issues
- Determine required equipment, site safety, job storage/laydown areas, testing, and quality control
- Identify unique challenges and risks to the project and develop a plan to communicate, monitor and control
- Attend job site meetings and coordinate with clients to successfully complete projects
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, vendors, clients, and other trades
- Review all project activities, equipment, and sites daily to ensure tasks are performed to company standards and OSHA regulations including site specific safety plans and job safety analysis
- Perform periodic quality checks to maintain workmanship and assure work matches specifications
- Progressively produce and monitor punch lists during project and ensure proper completion
- Train new team members and provide current team members with continuing education according to the latest industry requirements resulting in all work meeting the most current specifications
- Conduct weekly team meetings
- Track and account for company tools, PPE, and other company equipment
- Schedule repair/replacement of tools and equipment as needed
- Additional responsibilities assigned as necessary and may be based on experience
Requirements:
- Five years' experience as a glazier is required
- Three years' experience as a supervisor or leader is preferred
- Able to give direction and make decisions related to finances, company reputation and team
- Able to read blueprints
- Demonstrated aptitude in trade related math
- Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams/SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to various job sites
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite
