About the Job
Americhem International, PA’s leading distributor of janitorial supplies, cleaning equipment, industrial packaging, commercial laundry chemicals, office supplies and bulk chemicals is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The Field Service Technician will be based out of our Middletown, PA office and is responsible for providing on-site client installations, along with repairs and maintenance of their commercial cleaning equipment.
The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. He/she will have a proven track record of client satisfaction, motivated to provide superior service and help Americhem become our customers’ Partner in Clean!
Responsibilities:
- Support the client – Oversee all network services and perform tests on equipment and circuits. Troubleshoot issues and resolve any requests or concerns that come up promptly. Perform tests to ensure systems are error-free. Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines.
- Equipment and service – Troubleshoot customer equipment issues, complete work orders, quote customers, make suggestions for equipment upgrades and maintain their current inventory.
- Company shop and service vehicles - Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the service shop and service vehicle
- Dispenser installs - Install new customer dispenser orders
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or factory certification preferred
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and display excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manager
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Knowledgeable about all safety requirements
