Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Cleveland, OH Area
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to assist multiple customers in the Cleveland, OH area. This is a mobile role where you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment at various customer sites. We prefer candidates with previous field service experience, not those who have worked in a fixed location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform break-fix troubleshooting and repair services for printers, workstations, servers, routers, scanners, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and solve machine performance issues.
- Install, maintain, and repair hardware (e.g., printers, servers, routers) and software systems.
- Provide desk-side technical support for hardware/software issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per OEM guidelines.
- Ensure quality customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
- Identify and resolve potential issues to prevent future problems.
- Handle various tasks across a general service territory, covering a 150-mile radius.
- Be available for on-call nights and weekends, with overtime available upon manager approval.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical and Printer Skills: Strong experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining printers (Wide Format printer experience a plus).
- PC Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and repair PCs.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: At least 2 years of related field service or technical experience.
- Certification: A+ Certification (or equivalent).
- Driver’s License & Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility: Must be able to travel within a 150-mile radius and be available for on-call shifts, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with LAN-WAN environments and network troubleshooting.
- Background in mechanical repair and printer servicing.
- Familiarity with servers, routers, and switches.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical courses or certifications are a plus.
Additional Information:
- Full-time position (40 hours/week).
- Ability to work overtime with prior approval.
- Must be comfortable with overnight travel as needed.
