Job Opportunity: Field Service Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests and inspections on:
- Low and medium voltage circuit breakers and switchboards
- Ground systems
- Low and medium voltage motor control centers
- Medium voltage cables
- Two-winding and three-winding transformers (dry and liquid-filled)
- Low and medium instrument transformers
- Document detailed records using computer interfaces or report writing software.
- Assist in writing comprehensive, detailed reports promptly at the end of each project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NETA Level 2 certification or higher.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent with at least one year of relevant experience, OR
- High school diploma or equivalent with three to five years of relevant experience.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office software.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software such as PowerDB, RT, Pro-Soft, DTA Field and Office, Omicron PTM, and Test Universe.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Availability for out-of-town travel for up to several weeks.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, and smell.
- Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, basic color differentiation, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move 100-pound test sets.
