Are you looking for something new? Holland Applied Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team! The Field Service Technician will support and execute installation and startup of equipment, planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, and servicing and rebuilding of equipment. Most of the day-to-day will occur at our Burr Ridge facility service center but will require up to 30% travel to customer sites between Illinois and Wisconsin.
Holland Applied Technologies, located in Burr Ridge IL, is a leader in the sanitary process/equipment industry. We fabricate and distribute sanitary equipment and systems for the food, pharmaceutical, personal care, and beverage industries.
Job Responsibilities:
- You will be the “face” of our organization and work closely with our end users and our Sales engineers to provide service execution of the highest quality.
- Perform equipment inspections, delivering high quality reporting of recommend parts, labor and failure analysis if recognizable.
- Repair and assemble positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, sanitary valves, heat exchangers and homogenizers according to OEM specifications. This scope of work can be in our service center or at our end user’s location.
- Troubleshoot equipment to determine cause of failure.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and effectively while ensuring they result in success for our customer.
- Maintain service center workspace and tooling. Recommend new tooling per market need/demand.
- Identify future service opportunity leads and customer needs and communicate to the Sales Engineer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience working with rotating equipment or mechanical field service industry. (pump and compressor knowledge preferred)
- Complete training programs provided by key suppliers to learn best practices in support of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and homogenizers. Keep certifications up to date per manufacture.
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload/deadlines around multiple assignments.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work autonomously.
- Experience with metrology equipment required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows applications, Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
- Ability to learn new equipment and operate forklift.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting up to 75 lbs.
Pay & Benefits:
The expected annual salary range for this role is $60-80k annually. Please note salaries are based upon factors including candidate skills, experience and qualifications, education, certifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
