About the Job
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Complete preventative maintenance contract tasks onsite at Top & Bottom customers.
* Onsite Troubleshooting/Repair at Bottom customers.
* Remote Troubleshooting for bottom customers.
* Onsite/remote warranty support for bottom customers.
* Start-up support for bottom end-users who receive a new machine from an OEM with a Nordson system.
* Assist Sr. FST’s on major installs/trainings at Top customers.
* Complete accurate service reports/service billings/service tickets after PM visits in a timely manner.
* Report any customer complaints about our equipment performance to Sr. FST/SAM/Service Manager.
* If not in the field, provide email and call support to the existing Technical Support Team (Tech Support Team).
* If not in the field, work in Swainsboro assembling our products for hands-on factory training.
* Participate in classroom training of our products.
Education and Experience Requirements
* College degree in a Technical Program.
Skills and Abilities
* Willingness to learn & understand new equipment, technologies, and processes.
* Basic Mechanical & electrical knowledge/understanding.
* Basic knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems/components.
* Basic ability to read and understand manuals, parts lists, component drawings, dimensional drawings, hydraulic & pneumatic schematics, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
* Familiarity with using common tools and equipment (i.e. Multi-Meter).
* Comfortable working onsite alone with tools to assist customers.
* Comfortable with upselling customers on new products and technologies.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Home office space.
* Good computer knowledge: MS Office, Outlook, MS Teams, Concur, SAP, SAP C4C, Concur etc.
* Available to travel ~75% of the time.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Working conditions will vary based on the location and nature of the customer. Working conditions are those typical to light and heavy industrial settings and will include moderate to high noise levels and temperature extremes.
While performing assigned duties, the JR FST is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk, climb steps, cross roller conveyors, and reach with hands and arms while wearing personal protective apparel required for the manufacturing location. The JR FST must carry the required tools needed to complete the task. A JR FST must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and depth perception.
