LOCATION: Midwest (can be based around Chicago, Twin Cities, Milwaukee, etc.)
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Remote with 85% National Travel, M-F (Every 6th week you work from home)
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to give efficient and precise support and service to internal and external clients in a professional manner. Repair, troubleshooting, and remote machine installation; Must have a working knowledge of our products to supply customers with resources for rebuilds, training, and modifications. This is a field service role requiring 85% travel nationwide.

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to give efficient and precise support and service to internal and external clients in a professional manner. Repair, troubleshooting, and remote machine installation; Must have a working knowledge of our products to supply customers with resources for rebuilds, training, and modifications. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute system installation and integration of products and related OEM machinery to fulfill client performance needs.
- Supply project guidance from machinery installation through performance acceptance.
- Train client's team members in safe maintenance and operation of machinery.
- Work together with the client and suggest value-added services that will assist the client in running their business more effectively.
- Communicate with the appropriate internal departments regarding technical documentation updates to notify them of information pertaining to changes made to customer equipment. (Manuals, old program files, in-house training program, drawings, and documentation)
- Help with updating and/or creating technical documentation.
- Assemble and equip components according to specifications and confirm accordance of parts.
- Operate, set-up, and repair equipment to verify performance, functionality, and machine capability.
- Supply remote technical service to clients.
- Finish all documentation accurately and completely and submit within the required time frame.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years' experience in technical field service of applications engineering and or equivalent Military education and experience servicing electrical equipment.
- Experience in automated packaging machinery - working with equipment like wrappers, baggers, weighing machines, cartoners, conveying systems, other types of Form Fill and Seal equipment, etc.
- Prior experience interacting with both external clients and internal colleagues
- Experience troubleshooting and fixing electronic, mechanical, and/or electromechanical machinery.
- Previous experience with Microsoft suite of products as well as Web applications.
- Must have and keep a valid Driver's License.
- Must be willing and able to secure a passport to travel internationally and domestically.
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold conditions, depending on the environment in the client's facility.
- Must be able to travel extensively (85%+) overnight M-F and be able to travel by plane.
