Field Service Technician from Elgen Staffing

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of custom-built lab equipment, has an immediate need for an experienced Field Service Technician, to join their winning team in Amesbury.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide customer service and tech support over the telephone, internet and at customer sites.
• Using SharpSpring record incoming requests for service and parts.
• Manage Service Calendar / SharpSpring to ensure all requests are completed.
• Send User Manuals before new systems ship, provide install requirements.
• Establish service requirements by studying system design.
• Communicate with customer prior to arrival on site for installation, repair, and maintenance as needed.
• Travel, up to 75% of the time, may include some international travel.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Exhibit professional appearance and conduct while providing a world-class customer experience.
• Assist with quoting standard spare part items.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Clearly and professionally interact with customer, regarding status of service.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous field service experience is strongly preferred.
• Possess demonstrable trouble shooting skills.
• Experience as an electrician or other technician may be helpful.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Be able to operate electrical tools ie multi-meter.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Interact and communicate well with customers.
• Exhibit professional appearance and conduct while providing a world-class customer experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Self-motivated.
• Experience working with minimal supervision.
• Technical diploma, Certificate of Completion, Military experience is a plus.
