As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting operations and maintenance of advanced water treatment systems at a primary site, plus a variety of other customers in your geographic area. Required:

High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent and 2+ years' experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment

Ability to travel and a Valid Driver's License

Ability and willingness to be on-call and respond per contract requirements.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to meet all customer site requirements.

Ability to cover other sites within the area as needed.

Mechanical aptitude and electrical experience are a must-have.

OSHA 10 Certification (needs to be validated prior to start. Course can be taken after offer made).

No TWIC card is needed.

Desired:

Bachelor's or associate degree in science/engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation, Controls, or programming and/or water treatment equipment, including UF/MBR.

Working experience with PLC control systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting is preferred.

Water treatment experience.

What you will do / Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of systems and equipment.

Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, and TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements.

Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts. Create and maintain site paperwork and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.

Carry out mechanical, electrical, and control troubleshooting on equipment such as motors, PLCs, VFDs, valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.

Partner with customer management and operation teams to help advise on system performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Other duties as required.

Important Notes:

Job is in a Nuclear Power Plant.

Must be able to pass in-depth background checks and random drug tests.

Subject to random alcohol and drug test at any time when onsite.

Must be comfortable with heightened security including armed security guards. Additional Details:

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Expenses: Whenever you're required to purchase specific tools or parts associated with the role not provided on-site, it will then be reimbursed.

Onboarding requirements: OSHA 10, Hair Follicle Drug Test, and Background Check / Investigation conducted by the nuclear plant.

Valid Driver's License: This role requires quite a bit of travel within your territory, so you'll need a valid driver's license.

On-call: Sometimes, emergency service is required. When it happens, you may be asked to step in and save the day. We work hard to balance on-call schedules, which is part of the role.

Ability to gain and maintain access to the customer sites assigned, including nuclear facilities
