As a Field Service Manager, you will:
- Manage field service activities, including but not limited to: scheduling, dispatching, quoting, service requests, and warranty claim review and approval
- Review and approve time cards and time off requests for field service technicians, ensuring appropriate staffing to cover field service needs
- Measure and report resource utilization and profitability of service activities
- Provide support to Authorized Representative field service activities including performance audits, training, technical support, and end-user support
- Review quoted service work and contracts, ensuring accuracy
- Explore and develop opportunities for revenue generation and continued development of service capabilities within Skytron and across the Authorized Representative network
- Lead others in effective methods for best-in-class service, including the development of work instructions and procedures that lead to exceeding customer satisfaction
- Create development plans to promote broad technical abilities across the team
- Ensure that all service work and documentation meet quality and regulatory requirements, in accordance with the Skytron Quality Management System
- Provide a safe working environment for direct reports. This includes ensuring service team members are thoroughly trained to execute assignments in accordance with safety regulations
- Navigate through ambiguity and develop plans and assignments effectively using available resources
For success in this role, you will:
- Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
- Capably handle required administrative functions
- Coach and instruct others on specific work activities
- Monitor short-term and long-term results and desired impacts
- Understand and apply knowledge to install, diagnose, and repair medical devices and equipment
- Verify work to ensure accurate results
- Meet productivity standards, deadlines, and project schedules
- Communicate effectively with various levels of employees and customers, both verbally and in writing
- Be internally motivated and work well with minimal supervision
- Devise workable solutions or consult with secondary resources to devise solutions
- Have an associate degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Have hands-on experience installing, servicing, and providing routine maintenance on surgical tables, lights, booms, washer disinfectors, OR integration, sterilizers, warming cabinets, and patient lifts
- Maintain a good driving record and valid driver's license
- Have experience scheduling service and overseeing service projects
- Read and interpret schematics and site drawings, without assistance
- Understand and apply hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment
