About the Job
The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering essential technical support to the company’s Field Operations team by providing timely, accurate, and professional assistance with cabinet installations, repairs, and adjustments. This role ensures high-quality service and customer satisfaction by addressing field issues efficiently and upholding the company’s service standards.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:- Read, interpret and understand a cabinet layout.
- Measure for accessories parts, add-on’s or replacement cabinets.
- Install all components of cabinetry, to include accessory parts & trim moldings.
- Touch up or repair both painted and stained products.
- Adjust & level doors, drawers/fronts and trim reveals.
- Walk homes that have been installed and graded each week until complete and closed.
- Create required work order with correct coding on iPad to complete walked jobs.
- Communicate clearly with our customers (Builder) and our internal operations team on any materials needed or work to be performed. This would include an ETA on completion date to the customer.
- Perform inspections with homeowners or builders and conduct immediate repairs if possible, to avoid an extra trip.
- Pick up of all service parts from WBS facility. If unable to transport all parts, tech must coordinate with the WBS warehouse manager for delivery in order to complete the service and job ticket.
- Train WBS personnel on service items along with conducting training for WBS sub-contractors
- Work as a “journeyman” to apprentices within WBS who wish to become a field service technician
- Minimum High School Education
- 2-5 years cabinet experience required
- Specialized knowledge of cabinetry construction and installation preferred
- Experience working with customers providing excellent customer service
- Great communication and ability to conduct training programs
