Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Field Service Technician to join our team in Warsaw, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machinery and equipment, with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, and preferably Fanuc controls. As a CNC Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC equipment for our valued customers.
Travel and Compensation:
- On average about 2 overnights per week – servicing IN, MI, and the U.P.
- Work week: Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour + OT (bi-weekly pay/standard away from home rules).
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, 3% Match on IRA Contributions, Company vehicle is provided, all travel expenses are paid (company CC), and per diem is provided ($15 per day / $55 for overnights).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Field Service Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and programming is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Install, set up, and configure CNC machinery and equipment at customer sites.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of CNC equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues on CNC machines, including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, and Fanuc controls.
- Repair or replace faulty components and parts to restore CNC equipment to working order.
- Train customers on the proper operation and maintenance of CNC machinery.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
- Document service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and improve service processes.
