About the Job
Immediate need or a Field Service Engineer in Minneapolis, MN.
In this role, you will be responsible for the daily onsite support of our customers with CDI Laser Engraving Equipment (Digital Flexo). Pay $30-35/hr.
WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Perform onsite services for customers, including:
- New installations
- Operator training
- Electrical, mechanical, laser optics repairs
- Preventative maintenance
- Field upgrades and machine software upgrades
- Traveling up to 90% (local travel: 50% overnight travel: 50%)
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROFESSIONAL WHO HAS:
- Customer-oriented skills and with good ability to clearly communicate progress
- Excellent record keeping (service reports and spare parts) and follow up
- A hands-on, proactive approach and can work independently
- Ability to work under stress of deadlines and down equipment
- Flexibility to travel with overnight stays.
YOUR EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:
- Secondary school experience in electrical/mechanics/technical field and or work experience or equivalent military training
- 2 years’ experience installing- maintaining copier printing, industrial or military equipment
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical problems
- Good working knowledge of PC hardware, driver install (video, network, HDD …)
