Omnicell is seeking a dynamic Field Service Engineer (FSE) who embodies our Elevate principles to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional service for our pharmacy and supply automation solutions across your designated geographic area. As an FSE, you will Collaborate with our 24/7 Technical Assistance Center for dispatch, providing both hardware and software support to ensure our systems operate seamlessly.
Responsibilities :
+ Execute : Independently perform complex troubleshooting, preventive, and emergency maintenance on Omnicell’s sophisticated electro-mechanical and automation solutions. Address complex issues with minimal support, meeting company guidelines for response time and service levels.
+ Impact : Proactively identify potential issues, manage parts inventory, and escalate product issues through support channels to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction. Your role will directly influence the reliability and efficiency of our systems in healthcare settings.
+ Develop : Engage in cross-functional initiatives as the Field Service representative, participate in various field projects, and regularly provide coaching and mentoring to peers. Your feedback to the hardware specialist team and engineering will drive continuous improvement of our products.
+ Inspire : Regularly communicate with director-level nursing and pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative environment. Take an active role in discussions to resolve complex equipment issues, ensuring your insights lead to better patient care through technology.
+ Document all service events meticulously according to Omnicell's policies, reflecting your commitment to quality and detail.
Required Knowledge and Skills :
+ Extensive experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution for systems and equipment.
+ Proficient in configuring, setting up, and implementing products, including providing advanced on-site training.
+ Strong computer skills, particularly with Windows 10 and networking, alongside excellent verbal and written communication in English.
+ Ability to work autonomously with strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple customer issues.
+ Technical proficiency in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills :
+ Understanding of FDA regulations for medical devices and Quality Management Systems.
Basic Qualifications :
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or related field with two years of relevant experience; OR
+ Associate's Degree/Trade School Certification/Military Training in a related discipline with five years of experience; OR
+ Seven years of equivalent experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
Preferred Qualifications :
+ Bachelor’s Degree with experience in troubleshooting and repair.
+ Coursework in Network Engineering, Robotics, or Electronics.
+ Experience within a hospital environment.
Work Conditions :
+ Physical capability to lift 50 lbs. to approximately 5 ft. high.
+ Availability for 24/7 on-call support Monday through Friday, including weekend rotations.
+ Frequent local travel within your primary service area, with occasional support in adjacent areas.
+ Must maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, own a vehicle in good working condition, and provide a home workspace for trunk stock inventory.
