Field Service Engineer

Position Overview:
The Field Service Engineer is a crucial role responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced manufacturing machinery and equipment at customer sites. This position involves significant interaction with clients, requiring strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Installation:
-
Install, set up, and commission manufacturing machinery and equipment according to company standards and customer requirements.

Maintenance and Repairs:
-
Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs on complex machinery to minimize downtime.

Recommend and implement preventive measures to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Technical Support:
-
Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to resolve operational issues and optimize machine functionality.

Document all service activities and share insights with the engineering team for continuous improvement.

Customer Training:
-
Train clients’ personnel on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.

Develop user-friendly documentation and guidelines.

Collaboration:
-
Work closely with internal teams such as design, engineering, and sales to address customer feedback and technical challenges.

Assist in testing and validating equipment modifications or upgrades.
-
Travel:
-
Regularly travel to customer sites within assigned regions, with occasional overnight stays as required.

Safety and Compliance:
-
Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and company policies during field operations.

Ensure compliance with customer-specific protocols and industry guidelines.
Qualifications:
-
Education:Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience:
-
2-5 years of hands-on experience servicing manufacturing machinery, industrial automation, or related equipment.

Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

Skills:
-
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
-
Hands-on experience with PLCs, CNCs, and/or industrial robotics is highly desirable.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.

Ability to work independently and under pressure.
