Hybrid position
Full-time
Permanent Contract
Location: Fort Lauderdale
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for installation, start up and commission of High-Speed Diesel Engines in new build ships, Yachts, power and off-road installations.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic of Diesel Engine injections and Alarm systems.
• Warranty Repairs and repair advise for service partners.
• Provides service and Customer Support to clients.
• Coordination and planning of service cases for agriculture and gas engines.
Work Experience:
• 3-5 years relevant work experience in Marine or Automotive Industry, Construction Equipment, High Speed Diesel Engine Repairs.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Associates degree in Electronics from Vocational/Technical College as Technician preferable in Mechatronics/Automotive Technician, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering.
• Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification or licensure required.
• Must be capable to read and understand schematic drawings.
• Must be capable to read and understand electrical circuit drawings.
• Must be knowledgeable and have prior experience work boat experience
• Must be willing and available to travel a minimum of 50%.
Other skills:
• Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Ability to follow highly complex directions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be committed to meeting quality standards.
• Ability to influence technical direction via communication and relationship from a remote location
• Problem solving skills demonstrated through troubleshooting on product or process related issues
• Structured and solution oriented working method
• Willingness to participate in further intensive training
• Fluent in Spanish, preferred, (not required).
