FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - EXPERIENCED
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Field Service Engineer with a passion for technology and a proven background in troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems. If you thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment and want to contribute to shaping the future of medical technology, this is your chance.
This position will be a hybrid role that will require the individual to learn the products and customer base in the field while also spending non-deployed time at the corporate headquarters. The purpose is for the person to learn all legacy and future products and participate in process improvement to become a subject matter expert.
What You Have: Qualifications
• 3–5 years of field service experience (required), particularly with X-ray or high-level electro-mechanical systems.
• Highly desirable skills: Field Service on the Cardiac and Vascular labs (Imaging included) and installations with a passion for attention to detail.
• An associate degree, military training, or equivalent work experience in electronics, medical devices, mechanical systems, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated skills in wire crimping, soldering, basic electronics, voltage measurement, and troubleshooting fuses, relays, and pots. Reading and translating various types of schematics.
• Proficiency in electronic digital circuitry, electromechanical devices, and service test equipment.
• Professional demeanor and communication skills, along with an ability to resolve problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
• A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a passport (or willingness to obtain one).
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays or on short notice to rapidly respond to customers needing support.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities
• Traveling on a consistent basis to customer sites, ensuring seamless maintenance, and repair of our systems, including electronic, mechanical, and software components.
• Staying flexible to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned by the service coordinator.
• Reading and interpreting various schematics with precision.
• Completing all field service reports and expense reports in a timely manner.
• Mastering the fundamentals of X-ray technology and mechanical components in medical devices. A willingness to continually learn and train on product enhancements.
• Building strong relationships with clients by addressing technical issues and training them in system operations. Partnering with Sales and Engineering teams to improve products and identify new opportunities.
• Providing constant communication with the director and service team.
