We are a leader in the alternative fuels marketplace, providing custom engineered and manufactured processing equipment in the compressed natural gas and liquid natural gas markets. We are looking for a dynamic, enterprising individual to add to our growing business.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic and gas compression systems and equipment without supervision. This position also sets up and installs new equipment. In addition, s/he oversees all Field Service duties and tasks. This may include: organizing tasks pertaining to new equipment start-up; managing service personnel in the field to ensure efficient completion of tasks; and completing task logs and commissioning reports for each project.
Capabilities:
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
- Ability to make minor software adjustments in the field.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic components of machinery, including, but not limited to, controls, servo drive, motors, and PLCs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair natural gas compressors and/or mechanical/electrical problems.
- Ability to disassemble/reassemble equipment and remove/replace components.
- Ability to perform routine, periodic, and emergency maintenance of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to perform routine, periodic, and emergency maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to travel 40% to 70% of the time.
Other Qualifications & Requirements:
Ability to apply for and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Past experience must include mechanical work with large gas and/or diesel industrial engines; knowledge of natural gas compressors is preferred.
- Experience in technical documentation.
- Must have extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley controls and associated software as well as experience with PLC hardware.
- Must have knowledge of various programing platforms in order to make minor software changes in the field.
- Solid work history and great references.
Hours:
- 40 hours per week, based on project needs.
- Travel is required and may be domestic or international.
Pay:
Salary commensurate with experience.

After six months of service, employee will be eligible for the Guild Associates Retirement Plan if employee meets all eligibility requirements.
